Playing in his second career game during the 2021-22 season, rookie Matty Beniers scores his first career goal. Positioned on the point for the Kraken power play, Beniers breaks towards the net after defenseman Vince Dunn's shot. Dunn's shot gets tipped by Jared McCann and hits the post before kicking out far-side to Beniers who breaks his check to slam it home. Beniers, the second overall pick in 2021, had a point in 12 of his first 13 career games over two seasons and was selected to the 2023 NHL All-Star Game (but did not play due to injury).
