Saku Koivu is a proven winner in international hockey, having earned a Gold Medal at the 1995 IIHF World Championships, a Silver Medal at the 2006 Olympics, and Bronze Medals at the 1994, 1998 and 2010 Olympics. In the NHL, the beloved former captain of the Montreal Canadiens faced a challenging 2001-02 season, undergoing cancer treatment that limited him to just three regular-season games.
