In his first career NHL game after becoming the second overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, Leo Carlsson marked a memorable moment by scoring his inaugural NHL goal. It all started in the defensive zone when Troy Terry deftly stripped the puck along the boards and carried it up the ice. With Carlsson maintaining stride, the two players found themselves in a two-on-one situation.
