In 2017, Corey Perry became the third player in NHL history—and the first since Maurice “Rocket” Richard in 1951—to score three overtime goals in a single playoff season. After sweeping the Calgary Flames in the Western Conference First Round, where Perry netted the Game 3 overtime winner, the Anaheim Ducks faced the Edmonton Oilers in the Second Round. With the series tied, Perry struck again in double overtime of a pivotal Game 5. After receiving a pass in the slot, Perry skated in, partially freezing the goalie, then patiently maneuvered around the outstretched leg to tuck the puck into the far side of the net.
