Anze Kopitar #36
Starting in the Kings' zone, the puck transitioned to offense when Drew Doughty moved it up to Justin Williams along the boards at the center ice line. With two Devils players closing in, Williams chipped it over to a streaking Anze Kopitar. Breaking in alone on Martin Brodeur, Kopitar executed a slick deke, freezing the goalie before sliding the puck into the net. Kopitar’s Game 1 overtime heroics on the road in New Jersey gave the Kings a crucial series lead, one they never relinquished, ultimately winning in six games to capture their first-ever Stanley Cup. Kopitar was a standout during the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs, tying for the league lead in goals (8), assists (12), and points (20). Officially Licensed Product of the NHL, NHLPA, and/or NHLAA.
